On demand, computer based exams  

All our exams are now computer based, offered at over 5000 Pearson VUE exam centres world-wide, increasing exam availability and flexibility. You can schedule exams around all your commitments and study at your own pace. The Objective Tests (including Cert BA exams) are available to take on-demand and Case Study exams for the Professional Qualification are available four times a year.

CGMA Competency Framework  

In preparation for updating the CIMA Professional Qualification syllabus, our global research with employers identified the skills they require from business and finance professionals. This resulted in the development of the CGMA Competency Framework which underpins the CIMA Professional Qualification and allows you to demonstrate your knowledge, skills and competence to employers.

Salary Insights tool  

Based on the student and member responses from our annual salary survey, this handy insights tool allows students to see average salaries based on different career factors such as industry, jobs, level of experience and location. Helpful for salary benchmarking when you need it and an indication of how much you can earn by studying CIMA and becoming a CGMA!

Awards by level  

Upon completing each level of the qualification, students will receive an award in the form of certification. These part-qualified designations can be added to your CV as you progress through the CIMA qualification.

  • CIMA Cert BA (when completed the Certificate in Business Accounting)
  • CIMA Dip MA (when completed Operational level of the Professional Qualification)
  • CIMA Adv Dip MA (when completed the Management level of the Professional Qualification)

Membership Application Process  

The final step towards becoming a CGMA is the submission of your practical experience requirements (PER). You can submit your PER while studying or after you complete the Strategic level Case Study exam. The sooner you submit your experience, the sooner you will become a CIMA Member, and be able to use the CGMA designation and show the world you are a Chartered Management Accountant.

The Association  

The American Institute of CPAs (AICPA) and CIMA have created a new accounting association that will represent the breadth of the accounting profession. Through the Association, we aim to accelerate our long-term strategy to ensure we remain most relevant in the management accountancy space. Upon completing the CIMA qualification you will now become a member of the Association. Find out more.
